Starting doesnât have to be complicated. In fact, itâs the simpler, the better! Follow these steps:

Your journal should reflect your personality and bring you joy. It doesnât have to be fancy, but it should be something you enjoy usingâlike a beautiful notebook that feels special. Treat it like a gift to yourself!
2. Make It Physical
I recommend a paper notebook over digital journaling. Writing by hand creates a tangible connection to your thoughts and helps your brain process them as real and meaningful.
3. Keep It Simple
Begin with this easy exercise:
⢠Draw a vertical line down the middle of the page.
⢠In Column 1: Rate your diet for the day on a scale from 1 to 5 (1 = horrible, 5 = excellent). No need to track caloriesâjust go with how you feel.
⢠In Column 2: Rate your mood and energy levels from 1 to 5 (1 = drained, 5 = vibrant).
Thatâs it! No pressure, no stress. Just jot down how you feel.
