
Movie nights are sacred in our house, but I used to worry about all the unhealthy snacks we’d indulge in. That’s why I started “Healthy Movie Night Fridays” – a tradition where I whip up a new healthy and delicious snack every week. This week, I’m kicking things off with my Crispy Tofu Sticks and a fiery mashed avocado dip!

These tofu sticks have an amazing crunch thanks to the coconut flour and shredded coconut coating. I air-fry them for a healthier alternative to deep-frying.

Mashed avocado delivers healthy fats and a rich texture. I spice things up with a simple kick of Tabasco.

Crispy Tofu Sticks and Fiery Mashed Avocado
If you're looking for a healthy and delicious movie night snack, look no further. My Crispy Tofu Sticks and fiery avocado dip are packed with protein, healthy fats, and tons of flavor. It's the perfect way to kick off a healthier weekend tradition!
Ingredients
- 400 g block firm tofu
- 1 or maybe 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup coconut flour
- 1/4 cup shredded coconut
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp chili powder adjust to your liking
- Salt to taste
- Parsley for garnish
- 1 avocado
- Tabasco sauce
Instructions
- Prep the tofu: Drain the tofu and press it to remove excess moisture. Cut into sticks and season with salt and garlic powder.
- Set up the stations: Beat the egg(s) in a bowl. In a separate bowl, combine the coconut flour, shredded coconut, and chili powder.
- Dip and coat: Dip each tofu stick in the egg, then dredge in the flour mixture, ensuring they’re evenly coated.
- Air fry: Cook in the air fryer at 450ºF for 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Prepare the dip: While the tofu cooks, mash the avocado and add Tabasco to taste.
- Garnish and serve: Garnish the tofu sticks with chopped parsley and enjoy with your mashed avocado dip!
